But first, the Powerball drawing for Saturday, Aug. 8, may yield a potential winner for a staggering estimated $158 million jackpot. The winner may choose a $130.3 million cash payout instead.
The previous Powerball drawing, for Wednesday, Aug. 5, had winning numbers of 7 – 14 – 17 – 57 – 65, with a red Powerball of 24. The Power Play multiplier was 5x.
One ticket matched all five white balls for a cool payday of $1 million. With the $1 Power Play option, it would have been worth $5 million. Nonetheless, a $1 million prize is nothing to sneeze at.

PA iLottery reports over $700 million in online sales
Recently, the PA Lottery reported fiscal year sales from July 2019 to June 2020.
With over $730 million in online sales alone, this marks an increase from the previous year of $349.8 million, which amounts to nearly 92%.
Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko stated:
“The support of our players, our business partners and the entire lottery team made this possible. We take great pride in the fact that we are the only lottery in the US that dedicates all of its proceeds to benefit older adults. We are already hard at work looking for new and innovative ways to continue responsibly growing our business to support our older residents.”
PA is just one of a handful of states that allows legalized online lottery sales.
