PA Lottery funds upgrades to senior centers and more

We know that the PA Lottery proceeds are used to benefit seniors in the state, and last week Lottery officials visited Mechanicsburg Place Senior Center to show a peek into the direct impact those funds have on PA communities.

The Center serves as a community hub for seniors in Mechanicsburg, connecting area residents with services and resources. The busy kitchen at the center serves 30-50 meals daily and was in need of repairs and upgrades. A $54,861 grant from the Department of Aging, funded by lottery dollars, made the kitchen and other upgrades possible.

PA’s 52 Area Agencies on Aging serve as the local representatives for the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. The previous fiscal year marked the 10th year in a row the Lottery raised over $1 billion to fund the agencies and the important services they provide for seniors.

Online Lottery is available in PA

PA is one of 10 states that have legalized online lottery. The official PA iLottery is the only place to buy lottery tickets and play instant win games online in the state.

Right now, new PA Online Lottery players can claim a $20 free play bonus to new users. A deposit match bonus is also available, up to $500.
