The last Powerball drawing, on Sept. 30, had winning numbers of 14 – 18 – 36 – 49 – 67, with a red Powerball of 18. If you opted for the extra $1 Power Play multiplier, it was 2X.
Ultimately, that is what the buyer of one winning ticket out of Michigan chose. This fortuitous ticket matched all five white balls but did not match the Powerball. Typically, this ticket would be worth $1 million. However, with the addition of the Power Play multiplier, the prize jumped to $2 million. All in all, we can’t think of a better way to invest $1 and earn back $1 million.
