After months of rumors, all the talk finally culminated in a blockbuster trade between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets a few hours before the NBA trade deadline on Thursday. The Sixers sent Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two-first round-picks to the Nets for James Harden and Paul Millsap.
Players weren’t the only ones moving. The trade sent Nets and Sixers odds on the move at sports betting apps.

Sportsbook sees Sixers action increase
Just as Live! Casino Philadelphia was about to officially celebrate its one-year anniversary, the Harden/Simmons trade was announced. Located in the heart of the South Philadelphia sports complex, Live! is used to sharing the spotlight with their neighbors.
Peter Senkowsky, Sportsbook Supervisor at the FanDuel Sportsbook at Live! Casino Philadelphia said they see a lot action before, during, and after a Sixers game.
“It also depends on what team they are playing and if they are playing at home. But we have been seeing a significant increase.”
As for the just-announced blockbuster trade, he said:
“It’s incredible. It brings a big name to the city. Now you are looking at two superstars. I’m curious to see how this will impact the points props for other players now that Harden is here.”
Just as it has at online sportsbooks, the popularity of prop betting has increased at retail sportsbooks.
“It’s whatever they are comfortable with. FanDuel has player performance doubles (i.e Emibbid 30 points, Sixers win)so and we see a lot of that on any NBA game.”
