Checking in on Steelers Team and Players Futures at Halfway Point

At the halfway point of the NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the lone undefeated team in the league. Their Week Eight win over the Baltimore Ravens sent their futures markets soaring. The Steelers’ Super Bowl odds improved from +950 to +600. They have the second-best odds to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, behind the Kansas City Chiefs.

At 7-0, the Steelers are tied for the best start in franchise history. The 1978 team started 7-0 and finished the season 14-2, beating the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XII.

With the black and yellow off to a red-hot start, the halfway mark of the season is a good time to take a look back at their preseason odds at Pennsylvania online sportsbooks and where they are now.

Steelers win over Ravens moves them ahead in futures markets

Prior to the start of the season, bookmakers loved the Ravens (+650) and gave them the second-best odds after the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. The Steelers entered their Week Eight game against the 5-1 Ravens as underdogs but emerged with a 28-24 win.

The win also shifted futures betting markets for both teams.
