SugarHouse Casino has the early momentum of having the first Pennsylvania online sports betting app to go live.

So, what’s next?

Those with an iOS device are hoping the PlaySugarHouse platform arrives in the App Store soon. Rush Street and Parx insist

What we do know, however, is the permanent sportsbook is on target for a fall opening.

In terms of what the new 5,300 square foot space will include, here are some of the details:

  • Club chairs and table seating for approximately 113 guests
  • State-of-the-art 56.5’ x 10.5’ LED central monitor
  • Eight 80” flat-screen, high-definition monitors
  • 22 self-service betting kiosks
  • Six betting windows

The new digs are being built in the space formerly occupied by Lucky Red.

Sister property Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh is getting a sportsbook upgrade of its own.

The upgrades extend far beyond the sportsbooks too. Parent company Rush Street announced last month that SugarHouse is in the process of rebranding to Rivers Philadelphia.

Once that is complete, both PA casinos will bear the same name and promote the same Rivers-branded PA online casino products.

PlaySugarHouse.com going strong

When SugarHouse opened its temporary space back on Dec. 15 of last year, customers were already wondering about the next big thing:

The launch of PA online sports betting.

Well, after several months of waiting and three days of testing, the PlaySugarHouse app fully launched on May 31. Based on the early PA sports betting revenue reports from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, there is clearly a demand.

During that four-day period, the majority of which was testing, SugarHouse’s handle came in at $573,163. Imagine what the potential is over the course of a full month. Remember, this total does not include any Apple users.

Gamblers have the option of wagering via the Kambi-powered platform while on property.

The BetRivers and Parx sports betting apps are now fully operational, too, giving customers even more options. Come football season, there will likely be even more.

First in Philly once again for SugarHouse

Being first in line for Philadelphia sports betting is nothing new for the SugarHouse team.

The winter ribbon cutting on the temporary space marked the launch of live sports betting in the eastern part of the Keystone State.

The space was not massive by any means, with seating available for about 80 guests. The permanent space is big enough to accommodate bigger crowds.

Based on the timeline, the doors will be opening just on time for the Philadelphia Eagles 2019 season.
