Casinos and sportsbooks in PA

Coronavirus closed PA casinos for about a third of the year in 2020. All brick-and-mortar casinos and sportsbooks are following guidelines from the PA Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Some are instituting additional safety protocols like temperature checks.

Know before you go:

  • Capacity at casinos is limited to 50%
  • Customers and employees must wear masks
  • Alcohol is available with meals only
  • Markings on the floor to promote social distancing.
  • Mandatory enhanced cleaning throughout the facility

Rivers Casino Philadelphia

The BetRivers sportsbook at Rivers Casino Philadelphia has self-service betting kiosks available 24/7. Betting windows with ticket writers are open during select times. The big game will be on TVs at at BetRivers sportsbooks and throughout the casino floor.

Jacks Bar + Grill will have game day specials such as $1 wings, loaded nacho fries, BBQ bacon burgers and more.

On Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., Rush Rewards members who make a wager in the sportsbook or at a kiosk will earn 2x reward points.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh

The BetRivers Sportsbook has been reserved for an invitation-only viewing event on Feb. 7 for Super Bowl LV. Betting windows are open during select times and kiosks are open 24/7.

The second-floor Ballroom is available for walk-in viewers, with no reservation needed beginning at 5 p.m through the end of the game. Socially-distanced seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be two 15-foot screens showing the game and game day food and beverage offerings available for purchase. High-definition monitors across the gaming floor will also be tuned in to the game.

Live! Casino Philadelphia

The newest casino in PA, the $700 million Live! Casino Philadelphia, is finishing up preview days in preparation for its grand opening on Feb. 11.

Though still in its “soft-opening,” Live! will be hosting a Super Bowl celebration. You can reserve your seats at Sports & Social, which is right next to the FanDuel Sportbook. Sports & Social features 52-foot LED display and 24 televisions.

Also, 55 players on the gaming floor will be selected for $100 in free slot play. A Live! prize patrol will be handing out some Eagles swag to lucky guests that day as well.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh

The first mini-casino in Pennsylvania is also getting in on the big game action. At Live! Casino Pittsburgh, guests can reserve tickets for Sports & Social Steel City to watch the Super Bowl from reserved seats (drink tickets included.)

What’s a Super Bowl Sunday without a game of squares (aka box betting pool)?

Mount Airy is putting their own spin on the game with a Box Score promotion for Super Bowl LV. Guests can place bets from 10a.m.- 6 p.m. at the teller or self-serve kiosks in the sports book and then bring the voucher to the Players Club Desk to choose a square and be entered into the quarterly prize drawings.

Once all 100 boxes (or by 6 p.m.) a Player’s Club representative will draw 0-9 for each team and mark accordingly on the board.

Cash prizes of $100, $200, $300 and $400 will be awarded to the winner of each quarter, respectively. Drawings will take place from 6 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Super Bowl betting at other Pennsylvania sportsbooks

The Meadows: The retail sportsbook at The Meadows isn’t touting a ticketed event at its sportsbook. However, on their website it says Reserve a seat or table at 724-503-1234 or online at [email protected].

Valley Forge Casino: The FanDuel Sportsbook will be open and taking wagers at widows and kiosks; no viewing party planned.
Parx: The largest sportsbook in the state will be open; however, no ticketed event is planned.
Wind Creek: Betfred Sportsbook is open for the big game but there is no ticketed watch party.
