The rebranding of the casino now known as Wind Creek Bethlehem continues with millions in grand opening prizes.
The central giveaways are a $1 million slot sweepstakes drawing set for Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. at the casino, followed by a blackjack tournament with a $500,000 cash prize set for Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.
The former Sand’s Bethlehem property became Wind Creek after it sold earlier in the year to Alabama’s Poarch Band of Creek Indians for $1.3 billion. Wind Creek is the gaming and hospitality arm of the tribe.
Wind Creek slots sweepstakes
The top slots prize in the sweepstakes is awarded as either a 20-year annuity of $500,000 in cash, or $350,000 in cash plus $250,000 in free slot play.
There are also drawings for 24 additional cash winners that will collect between $1,000 and $25,000.
To qualify for the drawing, patrons must earn 500 points through rated slot play during September.
Fridays between 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. offers a chance t automatically qualify. Every hour two winners get a free entry into the prize drawing. Each $5 wagered equals a point.
Players can earn 5x points on Monday.
Activation of entries is between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. Entries are activated by inserting a Rewards Card into any slot machine.
Blackjack tournament offers a $500K prize
To enter the blackjack tournament, you must earn points from rated play. Twenty dollars in theoretical win equals one table point from 6 a.m. Sept. 7 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 4.
Once qualified, you can enter into the week’s Sit and Go Blackjack Tournaments.
The preliminary tourneys are all on Fridays (Sept. 20, 27, or Oct.4). Times are from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Registration begins at 2 p.m.
Each preliminary tournament offers a $20,000 cash prize and there is a $10,000 cash second prize.
The four top chip-holders from each of the Friday Sit and Go tournaments will move on to the Grand Finale preliminary on Oct. 18 at 9 p.m.
The final is on Saturday, Oct.19 at 7 p.m.
Prizes totaling $750,000, including a $500,000 cash grand prize, are up for grabs.
