Wind Creek Casino had a great year in 2022.

Wind Creek Hospitality, parent of the Wind Creek Casino Bethlehem, and Betfred USA Sports have opened a new place to place a bet in the region.

The new retail Betfred sportsbook is in the space of the former Buddy V’s Ristorante. The project was greenlighted in June by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Following a soft test period, the book is now formally open.

Wind Creek’s first retail book and third for Betfred

The 3,420-square-foot sportsbook has two state-of-the-art video walls. There are also 31 individual TVs, three betting windows and eight self-service betting kiosks. There are additional viewing areas and a sports pub for food and beverage.

The PA Betfred book is the third in the States, with Betfred locations already open in Iowa and Colorado. This is the first retail book for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians of Alabama. The Native Americans operate additional Wind Creek casinos and two racetracks elsewhere.

Online sports betting to launch shortly for Wind Creek

The retail launch will be followed in the coming weeks by the launch of an online sportsbook powered by Betfred. Plans initially called for the mobile to launch first.

Wind Creek entered the iGaming market in late July with the debut of its Wind Creek online casino, powered by Pala Interactive.

The region near Wind Creek also hosts Unibet Sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono and the Mount Airy Casino Resort Sportsbook.

Scientific Games, Betfred’s software partner, already powers Caesars sportsbooks in PA.

Wind Creek and Betfred partnership praised

Jay Dorris, president and CEO of Wind Creek Hospitality, said:

“Opening the sportsbook at Wind Creek Bethlehem provides yet another exciting gaming opportunity for our guests. Partnering with Betfred USA Sports will allow us to bring a first-class sports betting experience in a high-energy environment to the property.”

Bryan Bennett, COO of Betfred USA Sports, said:

“We’re extremely excited about our partnership with Wind Creek Hospitality and couldn’t be happier with the launch of our third US-based sportsbook in one year. Pennsylvania is a massive sports betting market, and we look forward to making Wind Creek Bethlehem a go-to destination for sports bettors.”

Las Vegas-based Betfred USA Sports is a subsidiary of Betfred Group, a bookmaker based in the United Kingdom.
