The Powerball jackpot is up to an estimated $50 million for the Wednesday, Feb. 5 drawing. That puts the cash value at $35.8 million.
Winning numbers from Saturday, Feb. 1 were 12 – 33 – 54 – 57 – 60 with a Powerball of 13 with a Powerplay of 4x. No one hit the jackpot but one person in Indiana matched all five white balls to win $1 million. It would have been double that amount if the the winner would have also purchased the Powerplay.
Seven others matched four white balls and the Powerball, worth $50,000. Two of those winners also purchased the Powerplay, which in this case quadrupled their winnings to $200,000. None of those winners were from Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania has strong Powerball results in January 2020
In the first month of 2020, PA had four Powerplay winners who matched four white balls and the Powerball and doubled their winnings with a 2x Powerplay to claim $100,000 each.
Six others claimed $50,000 for the same number of matches but without the Powerplay. Two of those individuals were not PA residents, but purchased their tickets within the state. Seven more people had five-figure Powerball wins last month as well, according to the PA Lottery.
The last time the Powerball jackpot hit in PA was March 17, 2018 when the cash payout was $273.9 million. That ticket was sold at the Speedway in Manheim, Lancaster County with the Emerald Legacy Trust claiming the funds.

As of last month, lotto players in PA can now purchase draw tickets for Mega Millions and Powerball online at the iLottery platform. That is in addition to the many retailers that sell the tickets around the state.
