Could it happen again?
Last weekend, Jon Rahm and Dustin Johnson played an epic final round at the PGA’s BMW Championship. Johnson sank a 45-foot putt on his final hole to force a playoff. And then Rahm did him one better, draining a 66-foot putt to win the whole event.
This week, they’ll meet again at the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. And both are the biggest favorites to win, considering the event’s scoring format.
As noted in a preview at PGA.com, this is the second year of the Tour Championship’s staggered start format, where the FedExCup leader will start the week at 10 under par, two shots ahead of the second-place player in the standings. Players start farther down the leaderboard based on their ranking in the FedExCup. Then the winning player captures both the Tour Championship and the FedExCup.
Could it be Rahm again? Johnson? Someone else?
Johnson, who will start the tournament in the lead, is +188 at BetRivers, PlaySugarHouse and DraftKings Sportsbook. Rahm, who is second, is +275. The rest of the field is behind them.
Could they somehow do it again?

Tour Championship tees off Friday
This year’s PGA Tour Championship begins Friday at noon and runs through Memorial Day on Monday. Justin Thomas is the first player behind Johnson and Rahm, with odds of +500. Webb Simpson is next at +900. The rest of the top 15 are as follows:

Wagers are available on the entire field, as well as top three, top five and top 10 finishes. There is also pricing available on the leader after round one for those looking for more immediate returns.
DraftKings contest paying out $500K to first
Daily fantasy players can compete for a half-million-dollar prize at DraftKings during the Tour Championship. The $25 entry PGA Tour $1.55 Million East Lake Ending pays out $500,000 to first place, $125,000 to second and $70,000 to third place. There is also a $5 entry Drive the Green contest that pays out $100,00 to first.
Over at FanDuel, the Friday PGA Eagle has an entry fee of $7 and pays out $100,000 to first, $30,000 to second place and $10,000 to third place. The Friday PGA Stinger has a $3 entry fee and a prize pool of $100K, with a first-place payout of $10,000.

Tour Championship will be broadcast on the Golf Channel and NBC
Television coverage for the Tour Championship begins at 1 p.m. Friday on the Golf Channel and runs until 6 p.m, both Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, the Golf Channel will air coverage from 1-3 p.m. with the action shifting to NBC from 3-7 p.m.
And with Memorial Day looming a day later, the PGA will enjoy a rare Monday final round. On Monday, the Golf Channel has the broadcast from 12-1:30, with NBC handling the remainder.
Maybe it will come down to Johnson and Rahm once again. They’ve been perhaps the best players on the tour all season. And oddsmakers think they might be headed for another showdown.
Maybe, just maybe, they’ll both sink a few more massive putts.
