Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren Odds PA

It only gets harder from here.

YouTube sensation Jake Paul has not been shy about his desire to become a big-time boxer.

He has challenged Conor McGregor, Dana White, and some other famous names to fight. In his last pay-per-view event, Paul knocked former NBA player Nate Robinson out cold.

The only thing bigger than Paul’s mouth might be his ambition. And so, he’ll take the ring again on Saturday, in another step-up bout, this time against former MMA fighter Ben Askren.

Jake Paul odds in PA, Saturday fight details

The fight will held at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in Atlanta and will be broadcast at 9 p.m. Saturday on pay-per-view.

DraftKings PA has Paul as the favorite at -167 with Askren listed at +125.

Paul is 2-0 as a boxer with wins over another YouTuber, Ali Eson Gib, and Robinson.

Askren has an MMA record of 19-2-1 and is a former Bellator and ONE welterweight champion, but he has never boxed before. Askren’s background is in wrestling and he relied on it quite a bit during his MMA career, so Paul owns a slight edge in terms of experience.

“This is boxing versus MMA, and you’re going to see the difference,” Paul said during the fight press conference. “You’re going to see the difference of a wanna-be fighter, a guy who choked in the Olympics, a guy who choked in the UFC, and now a guy who is going to choke against Jake Paul. I’m going to end this guy’s career.”

DraftKings has wagers on winning method and other options as well

In three-way moneyline betting, Paul is -139, Askren is +159, and a tie would return a hefty +1400

Bettors can also wager on whether or not the fight will go the distance. “Yes” has +162 odds and “No” is -225

Additionally, DraftKings has wagers available on the fight’s winning method. Jake Paul by KO, TKO, or DQ is -110. Paul by points after eight rounds is +700. Askren by KO, TKO, or DQ is +400, while a victory by points is +300.

Paul will enter the ring with age on his side in addition to boxing experience. “The Problem Child” – which is Paul’s nickname – is only 24 years old. “Funky” Askren is 36.

Paul also has height on his side. He’s listed at 6-1 while Askren is 5-feet, 10-inches.

Paul vs. Askren pay-per-view features four total fights

The Paul-Askren main event will follow three undercard fights, which begin at 9 p.m. Fans can order the fight stream via FITE.tv, Triller Fight Club, or major cable/satellite providers for $49.95.

The announcing team will feature Snoop Dogg, who offered commentary on the Paul/Robinson fight previously, Mario Lopez, Pete Davidson, Victoria’s Secret model Taylor Hill and some Tik Tok stars as well.

Win or lose, it’s a safe bet that Paul will keep talking. He likely will keep fighting too.

And it will only get harder from here.

Villanova Favored In Early 2022 National Championship Odds

The Villanova Wildcats got great news last week when Collin Gillespie and Jermaine Samuels announced they would return for a fifth year.

Pennsylvania online sportsbooks immediately took notice moving Villanova Wildcats’ odds to win the 2022 National Championship from +2200 to +900.

At online sportsbooks DraftKings, BetRivers and Barstool, Villanova is the favorite to win the 2022 National Championship. However, some sports betting apps have the Wildcats at +1200 so, as always, it pays to shop around.

Gillespie’s injury hurt Villanova odds

During their penultimate regular season game against Creighton, Gillespie suffered a torn MCL. Then-No. 10 Nova saw their odds for a National Championship immediately shift. The Wildcats’ odds for a National Championship went from +1400 to +2000. Their chances to make the Final Four moved from +200 to +400.

In their first-round game of the 2021 NCAA Tournament against No. 12 Winthrop, bettors leaned heavily not only for Winthrop (+6.5) to cover but to beat the No. 4 seed Wildcats outright. Villanova beat Winthrop and North Texas but lost in the Sweet 16 to eventual national champion, Baylor. It marked fifteenth trip to NCAA tournament and the seventh time Jay Wright has led his team to the Sweet Sixteen.

Villanova losing to the eventual champs or hoisting the hardware themselves is something to watch for in March.

  • 2021: Lost to champion (Baylor) in Sweet 16
  • 2018: Won the championship
  • 2016: Won the championship
  • 2014: Lost to champion (UConn) in the second round
  • 2009: Lost to champion (UNC) in the Final Four
  • 2008: Lost to champion (Kansas) in the Sweet 16
  • 2006: Lost to champion (Florida) in the Elite 8
  • 2005: Lost to champion (UNC) in the Sweet 16

Two key pieces return for Villanova for fifth season

During the Wildcats National Title in 2018, Gillespie played a big role off the bench and has been a starter the past three years. The senior point guard went on social media on April 12 to announce he would take advantage of the extra year of eligibility.

“Since my injury and over the last few months supporting my teammates from the sidelines, I have had much time to think about my future. I have received valuable feedback and have had many conversations with my family and the coaching staff allowing me to make a confident decision regarding this upcoming season.

“With that being said, I am going to take advantage of this extra year and come back to Villanova! It is going to be a blessing to put the Villanova uniform on for one last year and play for such an amazing university! I am very excited to get fully healthy again and continue to grow as a player, student and person. And lastly to my brothers. Run it back!”

On the same day, Samuels also announced his intentions to return.

He said:

“There is nothing like playing Villanova basketball, wearing that V on my chest and playing for my teammates and coaches.”

Villanova’s way-too-early 2021/2022 outlook

In early April, former Villanova forward Cole Swider transferred to Syracuse. Gillespie and Samuels could have forfeited the chance to return for their “super senior” season and instead entered the NBA Draft. The pair arrived at Villanova together and Samuels told The Athletic that once Gillespie decided to come back, his choice was easy.

Gillespie averaged 14.4 points and 4.7 assists last season. Doctors say he will be 100% recovered from his knee injury by the end of June according to The Athletic.

Samuels averaged 12.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists last season. Wright’s teams aren’t afraid to let it fly from beyond the arc and Samuels shot for a career-high 37.1 % from 3-point range. And he put up those numbers while playing with a sprained finger all season.

However, not all the “big cats” are returning to the Main Line. Last week, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl announced he will enter the 2021 NBA draft and forego a chance to return to Villanova. He started all 56 games in his two seasons at Nova, averaging 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest. Robinson-Earl earned co-Big East Player of the year honors (with Gillespie) in 2020-21.

Currently, it looks like four of the five starters for Villanova will return.

2021-2022 NCAA Basketball odds

Right after Baylor won the 2021 National Championship, William Hill released its 2021-2022 college basketball national championship futures.

The two teams in the title matchup found themselves at the top of the board with Gonzaga at +550 and Baylor at +850.

Despite disappointing seasons for powerhouses Duke and Kentucky, they had the fourth- and sixth-best odds.

“I’d say +550 is lower than usual for a favorite when we release this,” said Nick Bogdanovich, Director of Trading for William Hill. “But Gonzaga has been so consistent and even if they lose a few of their top players, you figure they’re going to reload.”

“You’d think Duke (+1500) and Kentucky (+1800) are going to rebound, it seems like they always do after a down year,” Bogdanovich said. “They each have monster classes lined up. I’d say those prices are in the neighborhood for where they usually open up at.”

Opening National Championship futures odds put Villanova at +2200 at William Hill.

Here’s a look at the early “Top Ten” for the 2021-2022 NCAA basketball season in terms of odds:

(odds via FanDuel)

  1. Gonzaga +850
  2. Michigan +1100
  3. UCLA +1100
  4. Villanova: +1200
  5. Alabama: +1500
  6. Ohio State: +1500
  7. Purdue: +1500
  8. Duke: +1800
  9. Kansas: +1800
  10. Arkansas: +200

Shopping odds for Villanova

Right now for college basketball, PA sports betting apps only have a market available for betting on the winner of the 2022 National Championship. As November approaches, more markets will be posted.

Online sportsbooks that use Kambi as its odds provider all have Villanova +900 and favorites to win the National Championship. A look across the sportsbooks at championship odds for Villanova:

  • BetMGM: +1600
  • FoxBet: +1400
  • Barstool: +900
  • BetRivers: +900
  • Unibet: +900
  • DraftKings: +900

DraftKings also lists Villanova at +200 to make the Final Four in 2022.

Philadelphia Union Open MLS Season Sunday

Major League Soccer is going for it.

The league’s 2021 season starts with a doubleheader Friday. And this year provides further proof that the sport keeps moving aggressively toward mainstream America.

A record 37 games will be shown in the United States on ABC, FOX, Univision and UniMás in national network broadcasts, with even more to be added in the months ahead. In addition, ESPN+ will stream all regional broadcasts to out-of-market areas nationwide.

Three new soccer stadiums are also opening this year in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Austin, Texas, which will be hosting the inaugural season of Austin FC.

And of course, Pennsylvania’s only MLS team, the Philadelphia Union, will continue to make inroads as well, with a roster that has them expected to contend for an Eastern Conference title.

Philadelphia Union heavy underdog in home opener Sunday

DraftKings Sportsbook currently has the Union tied for third in their MLS conference, with odds of +500 to win the East. And if you’re looking for a primer on Philadelphia’s squad this season, this MLS preview might prove useful.

The Union open the season at home on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. against Columbus, the defending MLS Champion and Eastern Conference favorite. The Crew is +200 to win the East, followed by Toronto FC (+400) and Orlando FC, who are tied with Philadelphia at +500.

In Sunday’s game Columbus is -120 on the moneyline, while Philadelphia is +300. A tie is +265.

DraftKings also has a lot of prop bets loaded up for the Union’s opener with wagers available on the first/last goal scorer, along with anytime scorers as well.

Fans can also bet on the correct score, double chance, both teams to score, or the first half winner.

Union fourth highest championship handle in BetMGM MLS futures

At BetMGM Sportsbook, LAFC are the favorites to win the MLS Championship, but Colorado bettors are showing support for their hometown team. According to Seamus Magee, Sports Trader at BetMGM:

“The MLS season kicks off this week and LAFC +600 are the betting favorites to win the championship. Few bettors are interested in the favorites but we have seen strong support, especially from bettors in Colorado, on the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids have the highest ticket and handle percentage and are BetMGM’s biggest liability.”

At +1200, the Union are tied for the fifth-best odds to win the MLS Championship.

The MLS season opens Friday with a full menu of wagers

Similar betting options are available on the weekend’s other games as well. In total, there are eight games Saturday and three more on Sunday, giving soccer fans a healthy dose of action to start the season.

The competition will continue all year, with each of the league’s 27 franchises playing 34 regular season matches, split evenly between home and away games. Major League Soccer provides a full season schedule overview here.

Highlights from the MLS schedule include Heinken’s Rivalry Week, a 10-day stretch pairing regional and other rivals from August 20-29. And the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, which are set to begin on November 19. The season concludes with the MLS Cup championship match on December 11.

The best PA sportsbooks will have soccer betting options posted throughout it all, which should keep soccer fans and sports bettors alike entertained. And as mentioned earlier, there will be a greater television presence than ever before, letting all involved follow every minute of MLS action.

It all starts on Friday, when San Jose (+280) and Houston (-114) meet at 8 p.m. on ESPN+. Seattle (-120) and Minnesota (+290) face off a little later at 9:30 p.m. Then, there are 11 more games to fill up the weekend.

Soccer season has arrived and the action is going into overdrive.

Because the MLS is going for it.

Stars align for New Mexico million-dollar winner

On Feb. 11, E. Alakbarov of Albuquerque, NM had his wish granted. Alakbarov has a strong belief that if you see a falling star, you should make a wish. Imagine when he saw three green falling stars across the New Mexico night sky and made a wish to become a millionaire.

Shortly after, that wish came true with a $1 million Powerball winning ticket. While the drawing was for Jan. 23, Alakbarov did not check his ticket until a few weeks later. Often, he waits to check until bringing the tickets to a retailer.

At the retailer, the ticket flashed, “Go to Lottery headquarters.” Alakbarov thought at the time, the winner may be around a few hundred dollars. Therefore, he headed home to immediately check his numbers.

He stated, “At first, I didn’t even realize what was happening. I saw all the zeros and thought I won $1,000. Then, I realized there were six zeros and it was $1 million!”

Online lottery automatically notifies winners

However, there is a faster and even automatic way to be notified of winning lottery tickets by playing online. The PA online lottery not only notifies you of winning tickets, but in most cases, automatically pays out winners to your player account.

However, Pennsylvania is not the only state where online lottery tickets are sold:

  • New York
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Kentucky
  • Michigan
  • New Hampshire
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Virginia

Online or buying tickets through a physical retailer, we want to remind you to play responsibly.

PA Sportsbooks Post $510M Handle in February

If someone told Pennsylvania sportsbooks a year ago they’d bring in over half a billion in handle in Feb. 2021, there would be cause for celebration. Incidentally, it’s only Pennsylvania’s fourth-best month ever for handle.

In February, sportsbooks took $509.5 million in bets. And while it was down 17.2% from the January record of $615.3 million, the bigger picture shows no cause for alarm.

PA handle has surpassed $500 million in four out of the last five months (the exception being November when handle was $491.9 million). And handle for February was up 54.5% year-over-year compared to $329.8 million last year. The month-over-month drop is also typical of February when the betting calendar cools off between the Super Bowl and March Madness.

That was also the case next door in New Jersey, where handle was $743 million in February, down from record highs of $996.3 million in Dec. 2020 and $958.7 million in Jan. 2021. Nevada has yet to release its numbers for the month. But if the trends from previous months hold, PA will rank third for total handle behind New Jersey and Nevada.

After a whopping $16.8 million in promo credits, the PA books claimed revenue of $16.4 million, a significant drop from $34 million revenue in Jan. but up 246.9% YoY. The state’s tax cut was $5.6 million with $328K going to local entities.

Eight months into the 2020/2021 fiscal year, sports betting handle in Pennsylvania has eclipsed $3.6 billion according to figures released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. It has also already surpassed the total 2019/2020 fiscal year’s totals ($2.5 billion).

FanDuel Sportsbook once again led for handle with $176.3 million, accounting for 37.5% of all online bets. FanDuel was also tops in revenue with $7.3 million, after taking back the top spot for revenue in January when it posted $14.3 million.

PA sports betting handle, revenue, taxes on the rise

February 2021 handle marked a 54.5% increase from last year. Here is a look at fiscal year breakdown of the handle, revenue and taxes for sports betting in Pennsylvania.

Fiscal year 2018/2019

  • Handle: $244.6 million
  • Gross Revenue: $3.1 million
  • State tax (34%): $699,319
  • Local share (2%): $41,136

Fiscal year 2019/2020

  • Handle: $2.5 billion
  • Gross Revenue: $135.5 million
  • State tax: $46.1 million
  • Local share: $2.7 million

Fiscal year 2020/2021 (July to present)

  • Handle: $3.7 billion
  • Gross Revenue: $191.2 million
  • State tax: $65.0 million
  • Local share: $3.8 million

Where do PA sports betting taxes go?

Pennsylvania levies the highest tax on sports betting revenue at 36%.

The money collected from taxes from sports betting goes into the general fund; 34% is a state tax and 2% is a local share assessment.

Pennsylvania’s total tax dollars collected since the start of sports betting in the state is closing in on $117 million.

PA online sports betting February 2021

Super Bowl LV factored into February’s figures released on Tuesday by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Sports bettors in Pennyslvania wagered $53.6 million on Super Bowl LV, a 74% increase from the previous year’s big game.

After payouts, sportsbooks won an estimated $9.4 million, a huge swing from last year when the books lost $3.3 million as a result of the Super Bowl. About 89% of all bets on the Super Bowl in Pennsylvania were placed online. Despite the success brought by the Super Bowl, previous months like January had more volume of NFL games that drew high betting volume, resulting in more handle and revenue.

DraftKings continues to rule the No. 2 spot in PA with $111.7 million handle. Through its partnership with The Meadows, DraftKings saw its revenue drop from $7.7 million in Jan. to $3.0 million in Feb.

In its second full month, BetMGM Sportsbook, through its partnership with Hollywood Casino Morgantown, had handle of $33.7 million and revenue of $199K, compared to $39 million handle and $414K in revenue in Jan. That put it fourth in market share.

Promotional credits, thanks to Super Bowl specials, were extremely high once again with $16.8 million in freebies, up a bit from $15.3 million in January.

Tracking Barstool’s PA progress

Barstool Sportsbook, in partnership with Hollywood Casino (Grantville), debuted in Sept. Since launch, Barstool has brought in nearly $349 million in handle and $17.9 million in gross (taxable) revenue.

In Feb., Barstool handle was $65.6 million, second only to December’s $71.8 million. However, gross revenue for Feb. came it at -726K. That number is the result of $5.8 million in promo credits deducted from $5.1 million in revenue. And it’s the second month in less than six months live that Barstool has posted negative gross revenue, the first being Sept.

Barstool’s biggest month yet was December, when revenue was $13.9 million. In February, Barstool’s online market share was 14% putting them again third behind FanDuel and DraftKings.

Pennsylvania-based Penn National Gaming, which acquired a stake in Barstool in January 2020, made headlines last week with its pending inclusion into the S&P 500.

On March 12, Dow Jones Indices announced it will add $PENN (and Caesars) into the S&P 500 Mid-Cap index on March 22. Penn was previously in the S&P 400 Mid-Cap index. On March 15, Penn National Gaming reached an all-time high of $142 a share.

Barstool founder Dave Portnoy on the inclusion of Penn in a video on Twitter said:

“They tell me the S&P 500 are the 500 most American, most dominant, most influential, most spectacular companies in the universe. I am now, a lot of people saying, their words not mine, the king of the S&P 500, hence, the king of America. We’re bigger than American steel. We’ve taken a $2 billion market cap to $20-$21 billion in the blink of an eye and we aren’t even slowing down.”

February fantasy figures

Fantasy operators reported about $2 million in revenue, about a 20% increase from Feb. 2020.

Of the five DFS operators in the state, DraftKings and FanDuel account for nearly all of the revenue, with $1.2 million and $743K respectively.

Flyers Fans Can Soon Come Home

The Philadelphia Flyers are four points out of a playoff spot. However, only the Colorado Avalanche, currently the best team in the NHL with 62 points, have more money on them to win the 2021 Stanley Cup.

Decades before legalized sports betting arrived in Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Flyers had an ardent base of supporters. Despite not winning a Stanley Cup since 1975, the Flyers enjoy continued patience and allegiance to the organization from their followers.

Before Gritty, their mascot could have easily been a sheep because Flyers followers rarely second-guessed the organization’s moves…or canceled their season ticket packages.

It appears that Flyers bettors are also following their orange-and-black hearts instead of their heads when it comes to betting on the Flyers.

FanDuel bettors favor Flyers

The Flyers are FanDuel’s biggest liability in the Stanley Cup futures market.

Nationally, the Flyers account for the second-highest handle to win the Stanley Cup with 14% of the money. The Colorado Avalanche lead with 18%. FanDuel broke down the futures handle for only Pennsylvania and it illustrates just how much of a home state bias bettors have for the Flyers.

Top 5 teams by handle in the Stanley Cup futures market (PA betting only)

  • 41%: Flyers
  • 16%: Penguins
  • 3%: Capitals
  • 3% each for the Avalanche, Capitals and Rangers

Philadelphia Flyers have second-highest Stanley Cup handle

In the Stanley Cup futures market, the Colorado Avalanche are the biggest liability at DraftKings, followed by the Flyers.

For Stanley Cup futures, the Flyers have the second-highest handle percentage at DraftKings.

2021 Stanley Cup betting splits

  • 24%: Colorado Avalanche (+450)
  • 11%: Philadelphia Flyers (+5000)
  • 8%: Boston Bruins (+1600)
  • 8%: Vegas Golden Knights (+800)
  • 5%: St. Louis Blues (+4000)

East Division betting splits

  • 36%: Boston Bruins (+375)
  • 26%: Philadelphia Flyers (+2500)
  • 13%: Washington Capitals (+125)
  • 11%: New York Islanders (+225)
  • 6%: New York Rangers

Pittsburgh Penguins better but not backed

The “other” Pennsylvania NHL team, the Pittsburgh Penguins (27-13-2, 56 points) are currently in third place in the East Division.

However, bettors are more frigid when spending on Penguins futures. The Penguins (+1900) are 13th in Stanley Cup futures handle (3%) at BetMGM. At DraftKings, the Penguins don’t crack the top ten (less than 2% of handle).

Great expectations for 2021 Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers’ popularity in the futures market is nothing new. Last summer when the NHL restarted, the Flyers had the second-highest percentage of handle to win the Stanley Cup. The Flyers were the third-most bet NHL team by handle at DraftKings for the 2019-2020 season behind the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins. However, they were playing a lot better than they are currently.

The Flyers entered the 2021 season with great expectations mostly due to the emergence of goaltender Carter Hart.

In January, head coach Alain Vigneault told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“Expectations are high. Let’s not kid ourselves,” coach Alain Vigneault told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “Our first goal is to get into the playoffs, and then we are not in this to win one series. We are in this to win the Stanley Cup.”

He added about his expectations:

“Making the playoffs is non-negotiable here.”

Sports betting apps also put the Flyers among the contenders before the 2021 season started. Flyers Stanley Cup odds varied at sportsbooks from +1400 to +1800.

When the NHL season started the top four teams by handle in the Stanley Cup Champion market at FanDuel were:

  • Colorado Avalanche (27%)
  • Philadelphia Flyers (12%)
  • Tampa Bay Lightning (9%)
  • New York Rangers (8% of handle with odds between 26/1 and 32/1)

Flyers look like they will go “under”

For Flyers team and player futures, it looks like the “under” will cash. Here is a look at preseason markets offered and where things stand now.

Philadelphia Flyers regular season points:

  • Over 67.5 (-105)
  • Under 67.5 (-115)

Now: The Flyers currently have 44 points. They would need 26 points in their final fifteen games to reach 68 points.

To make the playoffs:

  • Yes (-250)
  • No (+200)

Now: The Flyers trail Boston by four points for a playoff spot.

Claude Giroux:

  • Over 45.5 (-115)
  • Under 45.5 (-115)

Now: 31 points

Sean Couturier:

  • Over 49.5 (-115)
  • Under 49.5 (-115)

Now: 30 points

Travis Konecny:

  • Over 40.5 (-115)
  • Under 40.5 (-115)

Now: 28 points

Birthdates win a NC man $1 million online

The February 12 Mega Millions drawing was a lucky one for Carlos Cortes of Matthews, NC. Cortes played birthdates that were significant to him and put together his own winning numbers. Moreover, he stated that he had “been playing them for a bit.”

According to Cortes, “I did a few double takes. I realized it was the five numbers and I probably would have hit the ceiling if the last numbers hit. It’s a lot more than what I had so that’s the important thing.”

And significantly, Cortes bought his winner online through the NC Lottery.

Cortes decided to claim his prize as a lump sum payment of $707,511 after all the required taxes of federal and state. Remember that the odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1:302 million. A second-place prize like Cortes’ where you match all five white numbers stands at odds of 1:12.6 million.

$150k MI online Powerball winner

In Michigan, a Grand Blanc resident named Ken Belcher managed to win a hefty $150,000 prize. Moreover, the win was a result of an online subscription.

Basically, online lottery players purchase a subscription. Then you can select how many tickets you want to purchase. And you can even choose your numbers and optional add-ons such as the Power Play. In MI, subscriptions renew weekly, but you can cancel at any time.

In Belcher’s win, he matched four of the five white balls for the Feb. 27 drawing. Normally, the prize is $50,000. Yet, he opted to purchase the $1 Power Play which boosted his winnings to $150,000.

Belcher said, “I like to play Club Keno and one day when I was checking my numbers, I decided to buy a subscription for Powerball. I hit the $150,000 on the next drawing, so I got in at just the right time.”

The right time, indeed!

Buy Powerball online

Here in Pennsylvania, while you cannot purchase a subscription to the Powerball drawings, you can buy lottery tickets online. However, the PA online lottery does allow advance purchases up to 26 drawings ahead.

Additionally, there are other states where you can buy online lottery tickets:

  • New York
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Kentucky
  • Michigan
  • New Hampshire
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Virginia

Good luck this weekend, please play responsibly.

About the Power Play option

A question often asked is “What is the Power Play option?” This optional $1 add-on to your $2 Powerball ticket can multiply non-jackpot winning tickets.

In fact, your prize can be multiplied by two, three, four, five or ten times! The Power Play multiplier gets selected before each drawing.

Also, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. The 10X multiplier can only be in play when the advertised jackpot annuity is less than $150 million.
  2. A Match 5 winning ticket or second-place prize is always $2 million with the Power Play option.

Play Powerball online

Here in the Keystone State, you can play Powerball online and even add-on the Power Play multiplier without setting foot in a physical lottery retailer. Moreover, the PA online lottery offers a welcome bonus plus other great offers for customers.

However, there are other states that offer Powerball tickets online as well:

  • New York
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Kentucky
  • Michigan
  • New Hampshire
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Virginia

No matter how you choose to play, please play responsibly.
